I was so excited to start a blog and other than chat about Liberty there is not much going on in our lives. So I'll update you all on our cute Libby Lou! Okay so for 3 weeks now she has been a walking girl and she is really very good at it! She just waited to start walking until she knew that she would be an instant pro! She can say a few words now. Daddy and Doggy are her favorites by far! They admittedly sound quite similar but there is a slight difference. We took her to a pet store the other day to see the critters. She quickly bypassed the kittens to google at the puppies! Just another way she is like her daddy! The downfall is that puppies are seriously expensive! The one we liked the most was $1,000! For a puppy! Needless to say we will not be getting one anytime soon especially since Grandma has a very stern no pets policy at her house! And since we are living in their basement apartment that means no pets for now. Lets see...Thom just got interviewed for a supervisor position at his work which we are excited about. We hope to hear this week whether or not he got the job. He is still losing weight on the diet and we are happy about that. He's been coaching my cousins soccer team with the help of my Aunt and they have just won their last 2 games which were the first 2 games they have won as well and it's also been their last several games of the season too. Personally I think the sign of a good coach is a team that gets better over the course of the season instead of worse! Thom has loved coaching them and I know they have all learned a lot from him. Well I gotta run...small fry Libby is calling for a walk to the park!
Okay so I have been reading other blogs and secretly wishing I had one as well so here it is! I don't know who will ever read this but I know I will enjoy making it!
Well for those of you who don't know we are living in Midvale, Utah. We have almost been here a year! It will be a year next month which is so crazy to think about. Most of the time I try not to say "where has the time gone" but thinking about us being here a whole year makes me think just that. We came here when little Libs was just 3 months old and now she is over a year and walking! It's only when I see newborns that I realize how much she has grown! It has sure been a great year with her! Being a mommy is so much fun. Hard at times, especially when she's grumpy or really really clingy but overall I have loved the motherhood experience!
These are some photos from her birthday party!
Lets see what else is new. Well we met with an army recruiter two weeks ago and we are back on track for that now. Thom was put on a strict diet and workout program and has already lost 10 lbs on it! And it's just been 1 week! It's a diet used by a cardiac unit in an Alabama hospital for cardiac patients who need to lose a lot of weight quickly before surgery. Possibly not the healthiest way to lose the weight but at this point we don't care...we just want in the army already. I know I have no idea what an army wife life will be like but I am so ready for it!
My life revolves around my two girls and I love it!

This morning Libby came into our bedroom shouting: "Super Prise!"
Thom grew up in the south mostly so he is very big on his maam's and sirs. So we are working on teaching Liberty to say yes sir and yes maam to us. The downfall is that she says consistently..."yes man". It's hard for me to want her to keep up with this...I don't really like being called 'man'!
We were watching the fireworks and Libby turned to me and told me that baby Jetta (in my tummy) was scared. She then leans over and says...It's okay baby Jetta. You don't need to be scared. So sweet!
Look Mommy! The moon. It's not broken! (it was a full moon lol...so cute!
We are driving in the car and from the back seat we hear "hey that woman not scary, that woman old". Apparently she doesn't have the old person phobia like her daddy!
I recently got my hair cut and the first time Liberty sees me she says, "Mommy I like your neck.....I like your hair."
