There really is beauty all around.

So I thought Virginia was the epitome of beauty...well it still is, but Utah can be beautiful after all! Here I have been missing the Virginia beauty this past month and all we had to do was drive up a canyon to find comparable beauty! We finally dragged ourselves out of the house to go check out the leaves changing colors in the mountains. While we were out we stopped at this beautiful little creak and found a hiking trail that led to a lake. We started the trail but due to rain and the camera battery dying we turned back before getting to the lake. We tried to go back to the hike three days later but Utah closed up the place for the winter thanks to an early snow storm! So sad! I so wanted to go see the lake and get outside with our little family and now the next chance we have to go I'll either be way pregnant or with a brand new baby and in all honesty we hope to be out of Utah by the time either event occurs! We are diligently working on getting Thom into the army which is and always has been his life goal. We will not give up on this dream yet! Anyway the moral of the story is that no matter where you live you can find beautiful places! Although I do still think that little Buena Vista, Virginia is by far the prettiest place I have ever been and I have been to Hawaii so that is saying a lot!

COMING SOON...!!!!

Hello everyone! We have some exciting news that we are letting out now...we are pregnant again and number 2 is on it's way! I am 14 weeks along and feeling so much better this week. Morning sickness has seriously been brutal especially since I can't just lay around all day like I did when I was pregnant with Liberty. She is quite the demanding 1 year old and she will simply not have her mommy be lazing around when there are more fun things that I could be doing with her! But thankfully the frist trimester is over and so is that horrible morning sickness. Our last doctor's appointment was on Monday. I was soooo nervous since that was the appointment that we found out with our last pregnancy that the baby had died. It was such a huge relief to hear the heart beating strong and to know that all the sickness I had been going through was worth it after all! Thom and I feel very confident that this baby will continue to be fine and we are very thrilled to add a little one to our family. And I think 21 months apart is much more doable than 15 months apart like the last pregnancy was going to be! I would be do this month and it would be really hard since Liberty is still not very independent. She is working hard on becoming so though. She demands to feed herself which is cute but such a mess! She does not want to hold my hand ever when she is walking around and oh if I go to pick her up when she is not wanting to be picked up it is quite the struggle! Oh she is sooo cute! She has so quickly gone from baby to toddler and Thom and I are both loving this new stage. Thom loves to chase her around the house and she loves the game too as she squeals with delight! The downfall is that she loves chasing games so much that when it's time for a diaper change she is very difficult to catch and then tame for the needed 30 seconds!

This last week we have been babysitting six of my cousins in Pleasant Grove while their parents were off in Hawaii celebrating their 20th anniversary. I honestly thought it would be more difficult than it turned out to be. This family is so amazing. They are sooo good and they get along so well and they are very spiritual too! The kids have gotten up every morning before school to read scriptures and pray together...despite their parents being out of town and me being in bed still! I think this is totally amazing and I can only hope that my family will be like theirs in the teenage years! I personally have dreaded the idea of having a teenager but if my kids are like my cousins then the teenage years are going to be awesome!
