Okay so I got this idea from a friend...thanks Heather! Okay so we don't plan to live in Utah the rest of our lives but we will be here for at least a couple more years. But I am asking for ideas to add to my list of what I must do before we leave Utah. I know most of you have some sort of attachment to Utah so you must have some sort of thing you love to do in Utah. Okay so far on my list i have:
Hike Mount Timpanogas with Thom!
See the Christmas Lights at Temple Square
Okay so please help me add to my list!
Kicking Kid and Cheese!

Oh man...there is a lot to do. Now, with Timp - you have to hike it and also see the cave if you haven't seen that, it is really cool. You can go to the arches (and Goblin Valley), raft down deso (you could do that with us, but you would have to find a baby sitter, it is a week long trip), go see a play at Tuacahn (southern Utah), go skiing (or snowboarding), attend the Manti Pageant and the Castle Valley Pageant...okay, that's all I can think of right now. I will let you know if I think of more.
There's always the nutty putty caves. I have no idea where they are but I do know it's south of Provo. If you want to be a typical BYU student you can always hike the Y. There's also Moab (I would recommend avoiding it during July and August). Or you can just drive 8 hours and visit us!!!!
So I typed this huge response and then blogger stopped working...stupid thing. Anyway there are tons of things to do in Utah that I love. PC...Park City...is my most favorite place. There is the Alpine Slide in the Fall and Summer up at PCMR (Park City Mountain Resort), tubbing up in PC, the outlet mall up there as well. Hoggle Zoo, Lagoon, This is the place monument, Manti Pageant is super fun and so is Goblin Valley, there are tons of places to hike and camp. Sundance has a wonderful outdoor theater and you can ride the ski lift during the fall to look at the colors. Alpine Loop is really pretty in the fall as well. SLC is really fun to see on those carriage rides. There is a park hidden back in the streets a little north east of the temple I think is called Liberty Park and it is so pretty in the Spring and Fall. I haven't ever seen it in the Winter but I bet a fresh coat of snow would be pretty too. Hmm... I can't think of anything else right now.
Seems like everyone has hit the main highlights: Goblin Valley, Timp, Manti Pageant, PC, etc. In addition here are a few things that you can do in UT but nowhere else: attend a session of General Conference, play in the fountain sidewalk at the Gateway mall in SLC, have a shake at Granny's in Heber, pick apricots from the pioneer orchard (almost free!!!) at Capitol Reef, and of course take a swim in the great salt lake (kinda gross but you gotta do it once).
Here are a couple things I liked doing in UT: Martin Harris Pageant in Logan, Cache Valley Cheese Factory in Logan, Aggie Ice Cream factory in Logan, go to Antelope Island in Layton/Syracuse area, hike Ensign Peak in SLC (the hike really isn't that bad & doesn't take too long), Festival of Trees in SLC (one of my favs), visit a turkey farm in Moroni (it's on your way to Manti), visit Cascade Springs (you get to it through Provo Canyon. Beautiful in summer and spring but gorgeous in the fall.) That's all I could think of right now. If you want more let me know
So much stuff!!! Alpine Slides...up at snowbird or park city, moab, zions, arches, alpine loop (in the fall), squaw peak, bridevail falls(up provo canyon), disco skateing!
Do a live session in Manti
Definitly go skiiing or if you butt can handle it, go snow boarding.
